Last March, the European Parliament ratified the decree banning the sale of heat engines from 2035.
The decision didn't surprise our customers who have long been preparing for one of the most radical transitions in the history of the automotive industry. For the past decade, many investments have been made in order to flank traditional powertrains with new hybrid or electric drives or to develop novel battery-powered models followingTesla's footsteps.
The 2035 stop is also seen as a confirmation of the rules of the game for all players, not least bearing in mind that consumers may not spontaneously join to the electric car.
Of course, there will be no shortage of further challenges, primarily fierce competition from new players or the import of cars entirely developed and manufactured in China.
This changing landscape is full of opportunities for Elettra 1938: in addition to the fact that horns remain employed regardless of the type of motorization, cars with hybrid or electric propulsion additionally mount an AVAS. Opportunity that Elettra 1938 has been able to seize from the beginning and will generate significant growth in the coming years.
Icing on the cake, in addition to a mere regulatory requirement, AVAS will be increasingly asked to personify the automotive brand through external sound by adding sound power and computing capabilities: this is an exciting chapter for our R&D department.
On June 9, 2023, the FIAMM Training Dojo was grandly held in the company's factory area.
The establishment of the Training Dojo has created a learning integration platform for the improvement of employees' skills, cultivated various skilled talents for the company's development, and contributed to the long-term development of FIAMM.
After the ceremony, we invited our senior technician, Tiger Gu, to do the first lesson of the Training Dojo "PCB Electronic Component Welding Theory and Practical Training", explaining and interacting through theory and practical operations.
The AMICI FIAMM GROUP (GAF) was founded on 6 October 1984 by former employees with the aim of maintaining and promoting relationships between former colleagues and friends. The principle of GAF is to encourage people to combine their efforts to maintain, strengthen and pass on the relationship born and built in the company.
The association promotes various initiatives throughout the year; trips and lunches give old and new colleagues the opportunity to meet to spend a day alla together and share anecdotes, stories, laughter and a genuine sense of belonging.
The joy and enthusiasm found in these initiatives are palpable. A historical memory full of humanity that resists over time to pass on memories of the past to new ones. The image shows the steering commette and some happy moments such as the social lunch and the year's trip to Palmanova an historical town in north of Italy.

Paola Scalchi, Customer Service Dept in Montecchio Maggiore HQ, retired after a long cooperation, begun in 1982! Her colleagues greet her in this way:
"Dear Paola, retirement is an important milestone, achieved after many sacrifices and satisfactions. You have been a pillar for the customer service office. You have always given your best in everything. Now it is time for you to take a break and start a new life path. We will miss you....we will miss your "life maxims".
From all of us, our sincere thanks for her contribution and passion during these years. Best wishes for the new beginning!

The Elettra group has always considered essential to maintain a direct line with local schools and students. First of all, in order to remain a landmark for young people who, having completed their studies, enter the labour market; secondly, for the role that companies play in guiding choices, giving the opportunity to learn about the labour market and professions to make more conscious choices in the future. Below, the experience of some of the students who carried out their internship experience at the Montecchio headquarters with interest and curiosity!
Giovanni Scalchi – Maintenance Dept.
Ceccato High School student
"When my professor offered me the internship at Elettra 1938 S.p.A, I gladly accepted because I knew the company well as several acquaintances and relatives have worked at the company for several years and have always been proud of it.
During the internship period I mainly helped to implement a part of production line and machinery maintenance and I assisted in PLC programming. Initially, I expected a smaller factory instead I discovered a globally important, well-structured and well-organized company.
From this internship I carry with me the memory of a positive experience, I got to know firsthand the world of work which is different from the school environment.
I applied some school knowledge, but I also learned new information and especially good advice from my mentors."
Niccolò Marchetto – Marketing Dept.
ITS Digital Academy Mario Volpato student
"I hadn't imagined doing my internship in a company like Elettra; after the interview, I realized what an opportunity it represented for me. I was going to apply my skills in the world of salt batteries and acoustic and electronic devices, which were completely foreign to me, with a newly established marketing department, in the context of a multinational company, in the industry for over 80 years. This meant that I would have a lot to learn and a lot more responsibility.
During the internship I supported my colleague Maria Elena, Marketing Manager. We worked closely with the business managers, proposing strategies and doing various graphic work due to identified business needs. We also began the re-branding of the company, interviewing various communications agencies and supported brand operations, creating new brochures and company profiles. Since the company operates in an internationally oriented industry, my English language skills were essential in carrying out various tasks.
Before starting this experience, I didn't expect I would be able to settle in so easily, but I was comfortable from the start thanks to my colleagues, who involved me from the beginning and treated me very well.
Thanks to this experience, I applied the theoretical notions I learned during the year, approached the corporate world for the first time, and improved my time management. I would recommend this experience for the growth opportunities it offers and because I think it's essential to approach the world of work already during the study period."
We welcome all those who joined the Elettra 1938 Group:

"Before I started this experience I did not know what to expect, I was excited about the new job and yet I was looking forward to venturing into this new universe.
I threw myself into a reality that I did not know but I was so ready to face what the future held. Then when I finally got started, I met people who from day one welcomed me warmly. I never felt out of place and for that I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for your willingness.
Obstacles will be there but thanks to the team I am in I know they will all be overcome."
